Privacy Policy

DaycareCompare combines public childcare licensing information, provider-submitted information, and selected Google Maps Platform content to help families research childcare providers.

Information we receive

Searches you enter may be used to return nearby providers. If you submit a tour request or provider claim, we receive the contact information you provide.

Transactional email

DaycareCompare may send transactional messages related to provider claims, provider accounts, tour requests, and other service activity. Application notifications may be delivered through an email service provider. Authentication emails such as account confirmation and password reset are sent through Supabase Auth and its configured SMTP provider. Email delivery logs are used for troubleshooting and do not store plaintext recipient email addresses in the DaycareCompare delivery log.

First-party product analytics

DaycareCompare records limited first-party product events to understand whether the service is working, such as page views, searches, provider profile views, comparison activity, tour submissions, provider account activity, and technical errors. Analytics events use anonymous browser/session identifiers and intentionally do not store the contact information submitted in forms, typed street-address search text, or IP addresses in the analytics table.

Google Maps Platform

DaycareCompare uses Google Maps Platform services. Google's handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Google Places information displayed by DaycareCompare is requested from Google and is subject to Google Maps Platform terms and policies.

Public licensing records

Florida childcare licensing information displayed by DaycareCompare comes from public Florida Department of Children and Families sources. DaycareCompare labels official, provider-reported, and third-party information separately.

Before broad commercial launch, DaycareCompare should add a dedicated privacy contact address and finalize retention periods and any applicable state privacy-rights disclosures.
